EGM passes Motions

We held the EGM on Tuesday 26th as advertised, to tell everyone who was interested about the new constitution and seek approval to move the charity to the new CIO, see below.

Eighteen people came and there was one apology for absence.  After considerable discussion, the three motions were all carried very easily.  They were; to change the constitution of the existing charity to allow it to merge, to move the assets to the new CIO, and lastly to merge with it after everything has been transferred.

New Charity successfully created

We have been applying for a new charity for some time and today we received news that it has been accepted by the Charity Commission.  A copy of the new constitution is attached here.  CIO-Constitution211113

It is a new legal form called a CIO – Charitable Incorporated Organisation, which has a number of advantages for us.

At the moment it is an empty shell and we continue working within the existing charity 278819.  Hopefully at the EGM we shall get the support of the community to transfer the assets of 278819 to the new one and merge with it.
