How to find the Healthy Living Centre

The Blackdown Healthy Living & Activity Centre occupies a purpose-designed, light and airy building on the outskirts of Hemyock on the banks of the River Culm. There’s free parking around the building (including disabled bays).

From Wellington (5 miles): Leave Wellington heading south, across the A38 and under the M5. Continue up Wellington Hill to the cross roads on the ridge of the Blackdowns. Go straight across to descend Coombe Hill. At the bottom of the hill, before the river, turn into Lower Millhayes, where you will find the Healthy Living Centre.

From Dunkeswell and Uffculme: Approach Hemyock from the south and drive through the village centre. Turn left onto Station Road. Continue on Station Road, over the river and then right into Lower Millhayes, where you will find the Healthy Living Centre.

From Churchinford: Take Broad Street to the centre of Hemyock and turn right onto Station Road. Continue on Station Road, over the river and then right into Lower Millhayes, where you will find the Healthy Living Centre.
