Families & Carers

Blackdown Stay & Play Hub

Blackdown Stay & Play Hub is a weekly play and activity session for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, their parents, grandparents and carers.  These weekly sessions give parents/carers the opportunity to engage with their children and help them to develop new skills through play.

The children are free to move around the activities as they choose and there is always plenty on offer to keep them interested; arts & crafts, messy play, sensory play, music & singing, snacks & story time.

We have baby weigh facilities at the centre and the Health Visitor runs a clinic within the Stay & Play Hub session on the last Thursday of each month.

Blackdown Stay & Play Hub runs every Thursday morning from 9.30am-11am during term time.   There is no need to book, no weekly commitment, just drop-in when you can. We suggest a weekly donation of £1.50 for one child and 50p per additional child to help us to cover costs.

To keep in touch please join our Facebook group Stay & Play Hub Hemyock.

The Phoenix Group for Carers

Do you care for someone?

The Phoenix Group offers an opportunity for carers to talk about their concerns, to ask questions and to find out what other services and support may be available to them.  The Phoenix Group offers you a chance to talk to other people who may be in similar situation, personal support, social activities, helpful advice and the opportunity to have some fun.

The Phoenix Group meets at the BHLAC on the first Tuesday of each month at 10am – 12pm.
